DLIELC - Employment Information


DLIELC employs professionals in a number of areas.  All job vacancies can be found on https://www.usajobs.gov/. Anyone interested in obtaining a position with DLIELC should set up an account with USAJOBS and create a resume.  The USAJOBS website allows federal job applicants to store up to five resumes, save searches/jobs of interest, and set up notification alerts when positions of interest come open.  Keywords for a DLIELC instructor job search include JBSA Lackland, GS-1701-11, and ESL/EFL Instructor. There are several ways to qualify for an ESL/EFL instructor position with DLIELC.  The incumbent must meet, as a minimum, one of the following:


(a) Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
        (1) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages(TESOL)
        (2) Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
        (3) Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
        (4) English as a Second Language (ESL)
        (5) English as a Foreign Language (EFL)
        (6) Applied Linguistics (or Linguistics)

(b) Undergraduate degree in ESL/EFL; English; Foreign Languages; AND one year of professional ESL/EFL teaching experience to adults.

   OR


(c) Any undergraduate degree AND 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of undergraduate courses equivalent to a major in one of the above stated disciplines AND one year of professional level ESL/EFL teaching experience to adults.
